Mr. Belayneh Getachew is a dedicated and skilled professional with an Honor Master’s Degree in the field of Development Economics from the University of Gondar and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Addis Ababa University with more than 10+ years of progressive work experience in areas such as teaching in higher education institutions, project management, research, and consultancy services. Since December 2021, he has been working in different positions in the private banking sector. He is a Program Director for Program Management Office focusing on Capital Market and Investment Banking Projects (M&A, Investment Bank, Financial Market Liberalization, FinTech and other contemporary Projects), Technical Projects, and Corporate strategy development and implementation projects at Amhara Bank. Moreover, he has hands-on experience as a founding, organizing, and executive member of a private bank establishment, Amhara Bank. He has been serving as a BoD member in different developmental and youth-focused institutions, such as the Right for Education Foundation (Ireland-based NGO), Young Global Economist Society (US-based professional Institute) and Creative Crescendo (US A.A. Embassy Initiative). He is a Founder and BOD Chairperson, Bridge SACCOs LTD. He is working as a Director for Marketing and Communication, PMI Ethiopia Chapter. He is also working as an advisor for various business and investment initiatives in Ethiopia.
