Mohammed Assen is an academic, senior pharmacist, and researcher with expertise in pharmaceutical and public health research. He received his BPharm degree in 2014 and MSc in Clinical Pharmacy in 2017 from the University of Gondar, Ethiopia.
Since 2015, Mohammed has published several articles in international peer-reviewed journals, contributed a book chapter to ‘Tuberculosis: Integrated Studies for a Complex Disease 2050’, and participated in developing the ‘National Clinical Pharmacy Service Implementation Manual’. He has also been involved in global research collaborations, including the Horizon 2020 EUROAGEISM project. In recognition of his academic and research contributions, he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Gondar in 2021.
His research interest focuses on drug resistance and noncommunicable diseases, particularly cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Drug Discovery and Development at the University of South Australia, focusing on strategies to overcome anticancer drug resistance and improve cancer treatment outcomes.

My name is Tsigemariam Fentaw. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Gondar in 2013. Following graduation, I served as a lecturer at Woldia University for three years. Currently, I work with a local NGO called Eurika Yebego Adragot Derigit. Dr. Worku Abebe Degife is an Assistant Professor and Dean of the College of Informatics at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. With over seven years of progressive academic and administrative experience, he has demonstrated leadership continuity—serving as department head, acting dean, and now dean—while advancing academic excellence through program expansion, high-quality teaching, and capacity-building trainings. He teaches and designs courses in Artificial Intelligence, Project Management, and Machine Learning, and has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research works. Dr. Worku is a dedicated researcher with publications in reputable journals indexed in Scopus and SCIE, focusing on deep learning, recommender systems, and sentiment analysis. A graduate of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (PhD), he is also actively engaged in community service, technology transfer initiatives, and international academic collaborations. His contributions to institutional leadership and student empowerment, including his tenure as student union president, reflect his commitment to holistic educational development.
