About

I am a Medical Microbiologist, lecturer, and researcher committed to advancing health science education and improving healthcare outcomes through research, laboratory science, and community engagement. My academic and professional journey began with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Dessie Health Science College in 2010. I later earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Sciences in 2017 and a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Microbiology from the University of Gondar in 2021.

Currently, I am actively involved in teaching, research, and community service in the field of Medical Microbiology. My professional and research interests focus on Clinical Microbiology, Mycology, medical virology, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), infectious diseases, One Health approaches, and laboratory diagnostics. I am particularly passionate about strengthening laboratory systems, promoting evidence-based practices, and contributing to improved patient care and public health outcomes.

Through academic instruction, collaborative research, and community-oriented initiatives, I aim to support the development of quality healthcare systems and enhance the role of laboratory medicine in disease prevention, diagnosis, and control.
