I graduated from the University of Gondar School of Medicine in 2014 and served as a psychiatrist and Chief Clinical Director at this prestigious institution. Currently, I am on leave without pay from the University of Gondar and working full-time as a contract employee at McMaster University.

I am a Medical Microbiologist, lecturer, and researcher with a strong interest in advancing health science education and improving healthcare outcomes through research and laboratory science. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Sciences in 2012 and earned my Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Microbiology from the University of Gondar in 2015. Currently, I am involved in teaching, research, and academic service in the field of medical microbiology. My professional interests include clinical microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, infectious diseases, and laboratory diagnostics. I am passionate about strengthening laboratory systems and promoting evidence-based practices that contribute to better patient care and public health.
