I was born and raised in Kombolcha, South Wollo, Ethiopia, where I grew up with a strong curiosity for science and a deep desire to serve my community. After completing my early education, I joined the University of Gondar, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. I studied medicine with dedication and completed my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2018, following my qualification exam in August 2017 and my internship in September 2018.

After graduating, I worked as a lecturer and general practitioner at the University of Gondar before joining the dermatology specialty training program at ALERT Center, Addis Ababa University. I completed my dermatology residency with distinction in 2022. Today, I practice as a consultant dermatologist, providing clinical and aesthetic dermatology services at the University of Gondar Comprehensive Specialized Hospital while also teaching residents and medical students. My journey reflects my passion for professionalism, lifelong learning, and advancing dermatologic care in Ethiopia.

I am an accomplished Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist with specialized training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, committed to advancing the health and well-being of pregnant women, fetuses in utero, and newborns. My extensive expertise encompasses advanced fetal therapy and management of high risk pregnancies, grounded in a deep commitment to addressing the critical issue of high maternal and neonatal mortality rates in Ethiopia.

With over five years of clinical experience, I actively work to combat preventable maternal and neonatal deaths by equipping future healthcare professionals with essential knowledge and skills. My role as a Medical Director at the University of Gondar Hospital enables me to leverage my clinical expertise and leadership abilities to implement transformative solutions for various healthcare challenges.

Driven by a vision of improved maternal and neonatal health outcomes, I am dedicated to fostering a network of well-trained healthcare professionals throughout Ethiopia, ultimately contributing to the betterment of maternal and neonatal health.
