- GondarMy name is Zewdalem Abebaw, and I am a lecturer with a Master’s degree in Control system Engineering, currently teaching at University of Gondar in Institute of Technology(IoT). My journey in academia began with a deep passion for Electrical and Computer Engineering, which inspired me to pursue advanced studies and ultimately share that knowledge with students. Having completed my Master’s at Bahirdar University, I have developed a keen interest in Control System Engineering. I believe in creating an engaging and interactive learning environment where students feel encouraged to think critically and develop their own ideas. My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering curiosity and empowering students to connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am actively involved in research. I find that integrating my work with my lectures enriches the educational experience for my students and keeps the content relevant and dynamic. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy participating in academic conferences, where I exchange ideas with colleagues and stay updated with the latest developments in my field. I am also dedicated to mentoring students, guiding them through their academic journeys, and supporting their professional aspirations. When I’m not lecturing or conducting research, I enjoy hiking in nature, reading books on philosophy, or exploring local art. I believe that a well-rounded life outside of academia contributes to my effectiveness as an educator. As I continue my journey in education, I am excited about the future both in terms of my professional development and the opportunity to inspire the next generation of thinkers and problem solvers.
