I am a medical doctor and self-taught software engineer operating at the intersection of healthcare and technology, focused on redefining how care is delivered through digital innovation.

I design and build AI-driven, mobile, and web-based solutions that address real-world clinical and public health challenges—combining frontline medical insight with engineering precision. My approach is rooted in first-principles thinking, rapid execution, and a deep commitment to solving high-impact problems at scale.

With dual expertise in medicine and software development, I bridge the gap between clinicians and technologists—translating complex healthcare needs into scalable, user-centered digital systems.

My core interests include artificial intelligence in healthcare, digital health infrastructure, and technology-driven models that enhance access, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

I actively seek high-impact collaborations, research, and opportunities to build and scale transformative health technologies.

I am a medical informatics and research data management professional with over 15 years of experience spanning academia, research, and leadership roles. Currently, I work as a Data Steward in the NFDI4Health project at the University and City Library of Cologne, where I support the advancement of FAIR and high-quality research data management through training development, service coordination, and collaboration with health research communities.

Previously, as a Scientific Staff Member at University Medicine Greifswald, I contributed to metadata standardization, schema mapping, and supervised PhD research in FAIR data applications and AI guidelines. I have also developed competitive grant proposals (DFG, BMBF) and conducted research on data quality assessment, including the secondary use of EHR data.

Earlier in my career, I served as Head of the Department of Health Informatics at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia, leading curriculum development, teaching, and digital health initiatives.

With a PhD in Medical Informatics, an MPH in Public Health Informatics, and a BSc in Physiotherapy, I am committed to strengthening FAIR data stewardship, improving data quality, and fostering collaborative scientific networks in biomedical research.
